The 2012 SIHH PuristSPro Live Report - Jon Z. (Z3) Montblanc In recent years Montblanc's watchmaking effort has taken the world by a storm with a dizzying array of super cool complications and fantastic construction. I've been told that this was an extremely successful event in Virgina and that the exhibit was well received.  The layout is a bit less substantial than the one which is circulating through Asia but nevertheless it provides a nice cross section of historical examples for people walking by. Our IGOTT II gave me the opportunity to widen my view on the fine Chronographs category. I discovered here, in the flesh, 3 great examples. 1/ The Manual Nicolas Rieussec, which has the merit to offer a nice face, including some complications which, normally, ruin the dial, such as the power reserve ( on the case back ), and the date ( on the dial side ), and which offers a nice looking movement. I was invited by the branch manager, Kawazoe-san, to the special showing of the new items. Montblanc has really nice line-up this year and I am very impressed.
