Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Clearly the choice for an everyday watch is the beginning of a watch collection; I started with a Rolex Submariner in 1969 and was happy with it for many years, then bought another (a gold president) and then began to learn more about the manufacture of watches and bought my first Breguet (18k RG Transatlantique Type XXI), soon followed by a half dozen vintage Patek's and Ulysse Nardin's (turn of the century pocket watches)  and then a platinum Glashutte, and then an all around 18k Bulgari Chrono with a gold and rubber strap and then I fell in love with a Gerald Genta Arena BiRetro in Tantallum and RG, and a Zenith and Blancpain along the way.........................you see it never stops and my point is that one changes watches with ones mood and outfit. I sometimes wear 3 or more watches in a day. A watch in the morning to wear to work, a watch in the afternoon to play a few holes of golf, and yet another to go to the theatre and dinner.  So if you are like me, there is not one watch for everyday. BTW, I gave my Submariner (after a complete reconditioning) to my son in law when he and my daughter got engaged- I miss it and he won't give it back...........beware!) xx DD
