This watch is simply a bad bastardisation of its predecessor and the original version.

The crown guards were better suited on the more elegant case of its predecessor. And why did they add screws on the bezel? Also that movement is just a shame. Either make the dial fit the movement or make the movement fit dial.

An IWC Ingenieur Owners Response

 By: Koozy : August 5th, 2023-14:57
Having owned for a few weeks, I was intending to write a review of the Ingenieur but having read Patrick’s recent post and comments I don’t think people would care as they want to get more worked up about IWC’s audacity in determining their asking price. ...

Love this sober color scheme

As for price, buy what you like and enjoy. Forum banter is nice , and here we do a good job sticking to enjoyment vs costs. Value over years can go up or down, you could get tired of it, etc. I spend the price on the watch at that moment and assume it's g...

Thanks

Every integrated bracelet sporty watch has become extremely expensive

But we all know that luxury watches play into the immaterial league of unnecessary goods. That said, I asked a friend, who's a long term IWC collector and owned the 1832 aka fatty inge, whether the new model was worthy is predecessor. His answer was NO, b...

Thanks for your post - I share your passion

Here is my black dial Ingenieur when I received it at the Boutique. The 120h power reserve helps as I rotate my watches daily depending on my mood and activities. ...

Beautiful

Spot on re the power reserve, really appreciate it and haven't had to set the time once since acquiring. I wish it had an extendable end link, like the Overseas or new Nautilus, but the link change system is so easy I don't think it's the end of the world...

Hahaha

you don't quite enjoy the "I know best" approach?! 😅

Every watch counts, From Alpina to Jacob & Co.

Do not get me wrong, i want only respond to your emotional post. I understand your point and how Patrick put his thoughts and point about the IWC Ingenieur. Patrick is a polite guy with an enormous passion for watches. I think we all can make wrong analyz...

You like and enjoy the new Ingenieur, that is what matters. Enjoy.

This watch is simply a bad bastardisation of its predecessor and the original version.

Don’t need to care too much about what other people think.

It is your watch and it is beautiful.

Why would you care what other people say

You like the watch, you are able to afford, so enjoy it. And you are not alone: I was in Schaffhausen few weeks ago, and was told that they sell every Ingenieur they produce. The only one the had in a factory store was already spoken for. My impression is...
