Counting down to celebration of the creation and work of Nicolas Rieussec - 'the Chronographe' in 1821, Montblanc pays hommage to the genius Nicholas Matthieu Rieussec with the issuing of the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Anniversary Edition, in  limited collection of 190 watches in 18K pink gold, 90 watches in 18K white gold and 25 watches in 950 platinum.

Here are some pictures of the watches ... Enjoy!

The box with a special tag indicating the Anniversary Edition ...

The first variation -  Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Anniversary Edition - 18K White Gold with Black Dial, limited to 90 pieces.  Also my preferred piece ...

Simply stunning in black dial!  43mm white gold case.
Mono-pusher at 8H to start-stop-reset the 30-minute chronograph.

Containing the beautiful manual movement Cal. MB R110 with two-barrel for 72 hours of power reserve.
Caseback with the engraving of 'Limited Edition"  and the serialised number of the series.

Dial subtly with the print  "ANNIVERSARY EDITION"  around the skeletonized date-disk area.

Left subdial is the chronograph-second while the right is the 30-min totaliser.

Knurled crown in 18K white gold with with an inlaid Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl.

The second variation -  Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Anniversary Edition - Platinum limited to 25 pieces.

The third variation -  Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Anniversary Edition - 18K Pink Gold
limited to 190 pieces.

A piece is in the Boutique, the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph with Silicon Escapement  ....

Can you see the bluish-green escape wheel beneath the skeletonised 30-min totaliser?

The movement is manual winding Cal MB R120.

Which of the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Anniversary Edition do you like?

I would have hard time deciding which one I would take, between the platinum, for its understated but very elegant look, and the stronger white gold black dial combination. I love a lot the way they included the date in the " dial landscape "... It doesn'...

Although I usually prefer black dials, the platinum version with white dial looks marvelous!...

This shot really makes the Plat piece standout!

Kong, just curious if the WG/Black dial had luminous material?

 By: mkt33 : September 28th, 2011-07:16
It wouldn't make sense because the hands are not lumed but you never know. One thing I did notice...the presentation boxes are much improved Best, Mike

The macro of the PG case back indicates XXX/125. It appears as if each metal has a different run number. Can anyone verify the quantity of each metal in this stunning offering? With my luck I would be the 126th person to order the PG version. Cheers

Here are the run numbers...

Hi Bjacknot For the Anniversary Edition with movement MB R110, the PG is limited to 190. However due to the shrink-wrap reflection the number was not visible. So ... A bigger 'x-ray' pic for you See the faint number of 190 ? This PG model is a special edi...

Can anyone recall ever seeing a case back being used as an index for an RDM like Montblanc is doing on the back of this one? Pretty interesting.

I prefer the black dial version.

I prefer the black dial but the white dial seems to handle better the "proliferation" of markings on the dial. the white on black dial markings can be distracting with the words "chronographe", "riuessec", "anniversary edition", and "swiss made" shouting ...
