A picture of the Montblanc Exotourbillon Rattrapante is worth a thousand words

I finally had an opportunity to see and hold this piece in the metal.

It is large, thick, and heavy...plenty of gravitas.

Where does a watch lover start?

The multilevel grand feu enamel solid gold dial?

The hand finished tourbillon bridge in that wonderful twisted loop shape?

The 14.5mm balance wheel on a 4 minute tourbillon?

The complex chronograph and the rattrapante function?

Mr precious...My precious...

More coming soon.

Enjoy, Mike

I made a mistake, when I was at the SIHH... I saw it, among many others, at the MB Booth. You know me, I paid a lot of attention to the Villeret Chronos... Too much time. I didn't have the time to examine this one. I can't wait to learn more about this on...

I just love all these Exotourbillons from Montblanc Villeret

Robin, I too would be broke. This is a beautiful piece however if money were no object I believe the Bi-Cylindrique would be my first choice. I just love the look of that one.

I certainly wouldn't say "no", but ....

Were it up to me, that great dial and huge Tourbillon would look unbelievably dramatic with a simple, two-hand, time only , non-regulator watch. That would be a real icon. For the avoidance of doubt, the watch that actually got made is certainly terrific....

With the same dial metal and colors you mean?

Because the original Tourbillon Mysterieuse has the same balance size and it has the time function only. I like the "two part" dial layout. It really shows off the Tourbillon without interference. Hope all is well, Mike ...

More than just that...

Also with full-sized hands, without the "mystery". I like the heures mysterieuses a lot, and have been lucky enough to enjoy it in the metal on several occasions, but the opportunity for a dial of this size with a big Tourbillon , an hour hand, a minute h...

Got it...Perhaps MB can have a "Meisterstuck Heritage Tourbillon" next year

This would probably have the design you have in mind and fit in the collection. Perhaps it would also drop the RRP down so the Villeret tourbillons would be more accessible. Cheers, Mike
