Completely understand, and the first analogy that came to mind are the streaming services. During VHS and even pre-internet, books (even magazines) and videos had a special quality about them. You really immersed yourself in it, and truly enjoyed the experience. Nowadays I find that there are thousands of movies, consequently feeling that I have too much to watch, and end up not enjoying the experience anymore. Having said that, books (in a tangible form) and LPs (and the cinema) still retain that special experience so not all is lost!
