Cote de Geneve Mis-alignment?

Jul 05, 2015,01:10 AM

Hi everyone, could any one tell me if this PP movement is a good example of century old minute repeater?

From the photo, the gasket (rose gold color) with 3 screws holding the jewel on the centre bridge seems a bit wired to me, never seen any thing like this fixture before. Could it be a customized mod?

More interesting is, and I guess is the question of this tread, the 'Cote de Geneve' doesn't line up from spring house, bridge and balance. I also found another example, it in alignment.

My question is, does the first one exhibits some period Patek use different parts for different models, thus cause this mis-alignment? or this movement has been restored by putting parts from two (or more) movement.
