A watch that best represents me
Jul 27, 2014,07:06 AM
As many of you had read, I was traveling for business in Europe 2 weeks ago - first in Paris then Dusseldorf then London. Met Fx and Nicolas in Paris and we had a great time of drinks, food and watches.
I brought along a Reverso tribute to 1948 as well as my faithful Montblanc Villeret chronograph grand feu enamel. The Reverso is a very new watch to me so I am spending time to bond with it. The Montblanc Villeret has been with me for around a year now (time flies!). I still remember bringing it to India around one year ago for a business trip and that was when I just bought it (and couldn't bear to travel without it). Since then I got a few more watches but this watch remains so special to me. Knowing that I am going to meet some important people (including our dear moderators Nicolas and Fx as well as some business partners) and to attend some important meetings, I decided to bring the watch I feel best represents me and it's not difficult to guess that must be my precious Montblanc Villeret.
Here are some pics of the watch in the 3 cities I visited. Hope you enjoy them.
Always good to bring your watches for important events and also overseas when we travel. The bonding sessions are more special
Watches are mechanical... But the craftsmen who made them may have left pieces of their heart and soul in the watch and each time I look at my Montblanc Villeret, I can definitely relate to this
That's why this watch is always so special to me and I feel it best represents me.
Cheers
Robin

Walking in Paris' avenue Champs Elysees aimlessly while jetlagged
I think this pic is further from Champs Élysées already! Almost got lost then.
Our 3 representative watches, from Fx, Nicolas and me - gtg in Paris with Fx and Nicolas
Next the watch went with me to Dusseldorf where I took some pictures along with river Rhine and the old town of Dusseldorf
Enjoying my German pork knuckle and dark beer with the Montblanc Villeret
Last stop is at London. Again the watch brought me a lot of joy in both work and leisure in the evenings
Walking along Oxford street to Regent Street, Bond Street etc
